 KARTWORLD racing track on Burscough industrial estate is up for sale at an asking price of over £4.6million.
Current owner Jason Hughes has been racing cars since childhood. Having previous experience in motor sports and garage management, starting a karting company was a logical step for Jason.
He said: “I have always loved racing. I’m very passionate about KWR and have really enjoyed the past six years. I hope the next proprietor will have the same enthusiasm and continue to expand KWR Karting.”
The racing track is 600 metres long and includes two flyovers.

 A lack of funds forced Formula A star Scott Malvern to quit karting - but thanks to a bottled water company he’s back on track, and out to win this weekend’s (17/18 August) Kart Masters Grand Prix.
The 18-year old’s career has been revived One water. One is the brainchild of the charity, Global Ethics - who use the profits from the sale of the bottled mineral water to install desperately needed water pumps in Africa.  Racing driver Adrian Hull is to compete in the search to find the next big motorsport talent, committing to enter the So You Want To Be An F1 Driver contest, partnered the Etihad Aldar Spyker Formula One Team. When talking about the event, to be filmed for television, Adrian said, "It's great that I've got the opportunity to enter something like this. With the Etihad Aldar Spyker Formula One team as part of the event, it could be a real boost for my career if I do well."
